Easter Fun at Colchester Zoo - 21st March - 13th April 2008
Come along to Colchester Zoo this Easter to enjoy the magic of spring life with new spring babies and a number of activities. There will be a beautiful enchanted Easter Wonderland for children to enjoy, with the chance to meet the Easter Bunny at the end (11.00- 4.00pm)! There will also be a lucky dip at our Magic Easter box just outside the Easter Wonderland between 11.00am and 4.00pm everyday, where you could be one of the lucky ones who wins a real chocolate egg*! Special activities will include the chance for children to see some Easter chicks as they hatch, in their incubators at Familiar Friends in the Kidz Zone, where there will also be the chance to see all of the spring babies and their keepers and ask all the questions that you can.
There will also be a Frog Finders Trail around the zoo, and all correct entries will go into a draw and the winner will win a personalized reptile or mammal experience of their choice!
There will be a special Easter show, Eggtastic, in the KD theatre everyday at 2.30pm, as well as fun and games on the Falconry Lawn at 1.00pm with our Eggstravaganza Gold which will include a leap frog competition, an egg and spoon race and much more! Finally there will be an Easter Disco at 3.00pm in the Kalahari Centre which will be full of dancing, fun and party games!
Throughout Easter, there will be activities to promote Colchester Zoo’s support of the EAZA Amphibian Campaign. This aims to raise £7,000 to support amphibians which are in crisis in the wild.

Directions:
By Car:
Colchester Zoo is located just south of Colchester. Take the A1124 exit off the main A12 following the elephant signs.
From the M25: About 40 minutes from Junction 28 of the M25 to reach the A12.
From Southend: About 1 hour’s journey, 40 miles using A127 and A130 to reach the A12.
From Hertfordshire: About 1 hour’s journey – 50 miles using A414 or A120 to reach the A12.
By Train:
Colchester Main Train Station can be reached from Liverpool Street services from London within in an hour or is easily reached along the Lowestoft or Norwich networks to Ipswich and then on to Colchester. Colchester Zoo is just 10 minutes by taxi or can be reached by bus. See details below.
By Bus:
All bus services to Colchester Bus Station regularly connect with the Eastern National 75 for Maldon or Tiptree and Colchester Zoo. On arrival at Colchester Bus Station look for Stand 9.
On your return you should use service 75 from the Zoo, departures at 0939hrs, 1039, 1139, 1239, 1339, 1439, 1539 (Saturday only), 1556 (Mon-Fri), 1639 & 1739 during the daytime.
