The Sherwood Forest Farm Park Railway stated in April 2008 that the tunnel had been painted green to blend in more readily with its surroundings, while the point levers had been checked and were working fine. Further work proceeds with regard to the coaches, and proper ash pits and heavy “elephant grating” over them have been installed as part of continuing works (details are at the Sherwood Forest Farm Park website).
