Daily meerkat encounters are now open at ‘Suricata Lodge’! If you fancy the opportunity to be used as a human termite mound by our friendly mob of meerkats then why not treat yourself or your children to an encounter in our specially designed undercover area? Tickets are sold on the day on a first-come-first-served basis.

Directions:

The Isle of Wight Zoo is situated on the eastern side of the Island overlooking Sandown Bay’s beautiful seafront complete with safe, sandy beaches and cliff walks. Sandown is clearly sign posted from all the main towns and ferry terminals. For visitors travelling without their own transport there is a good bus service throughout most of the Island to Sandown town centre. There is also a rail service from Ryde Pier Head to Sandown Station. The Zoo is a short distance from the town centre along the seafront towards the white cliff end of the bay. A seasonal dotto train provides a frequent service bringing visitors from a variety of points in the town to the Zoo’s entrance. An open topped bus service links other parts of the Island to the zoo.
